2010 Fall Service School

HK Laundry Equipment Inc. of Armonk, New York announced the successful completion of their Fall 2010 Service Schools. The 25th Annual Fall HK Service Schools were held in the HK offices in Armonk, NY on September 28th and 29th. These schools are designed to help our HK customers to become more successful & more profitable Laundromat operators.
The Fall 2010 HK Service Schools were composed of 2 entirely different courses. The “standard” HK Service School course was on Huebsch & Speed Queen Washer and Dryer diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance. The “standard” HK Service School course is taught by HK master technicians on the latest troubleshooting techniques, preventative maintenance and the latest upgrades and products. The school covered Huebsch & Speed Queen washers & dryers built within the last 12 years including the newest Galaxy controlled washers.
The “special” HK Service School was a Bearing Replacement course. The Bearing course is designed to educate the Laundromat owners and service technicians on the “working” knowledge of bearing. The course is designed to physically walk through the process of drum bearing replacement including what to take for and what pitfalls to avoid. The course also went through motor bearing replacement. The course included a manual and a sit down dinner. HK is the only distributor in the nation that teaches a Bearing Replacement course for their customers.
“Knowledge and talking to fellow Laundromat owners are a huge benefits to attending the HK Service Schools” says Mr. Karl Hinrichs, president of HK Laundry Equipment. Mr. Hinrichs adds that “If the attendee can leave the school with 1 or 2 new ideas, then our service school has been a success”. For if the Laundromat operator can fix their own machines, they will have the machine working faster, making more money and have less down time. For the time investment of 1 or 2 evenings, it is a win-win situation for the Laundromat operator. HK rewards attendee’s with parts credit equal to the HK service school fee.
