As a coin laundry owner, you
face many challenges today. The rising cost of energy
to operate your equipment is at an all time high. Space
for new stores is limited because of steep square footage
costs. Your competitors are moving in closer and closer...How
do you combat these problems and still remain profitable?
The solution is simple: Invest in a Bock centrifuge.
In just three minutes, Bock centrifuges
will remove enough remaining moisture from a wash
load to cut dry time in half. When you compare the
costs of running a Bock for three minutes (it's only
one penny) to the cost of running your dryer 10-15
minutes (a lot more that one penny), it makes sense
(and cents!) to use a Bock. A Bock makes you more
efficient...you get more people through your store
in less time- NO MORE DRYER BOTTLENECK!!
You increase your capacity with
the same amount of space. This creates opportunities
for you, such as increasing your drop off business
and offering better service for your customers. And
better customer service is the key. If you want to
attract and keep new business, you need to offer something
your competition doesn't have: The ability to dry
clothes in half the amount of time. The option of
doing laundry in a Laundromat without waiting for
a dryer. To have cleaner and softer clothes. (A Bock
extracts both water and suds missed by the rinse cycle,
making clothes cleaner and softer to the touch.) Customers
will drive many miles (and pass many competitors)
to reach the store that offers these amenities.

The following are the most common
questions asked by coin laundry owners about Bock
centrifuges.
Will a Bock take income away
from dryers?
No, a Bock will compliment your
washers and dryers. When your store is running at
capacity, your dryers are always in use. A bock will
allow more people to use your dryers, plus create
additional revenue from your other equipment. If you
looks at profitability, you make 49 cents out of every
50 cents put in a Bock. What do you make on a dryer?
How much money can I expect to
make with a centrifuge?
Consider this payback method:
at a modest 15 turns per day (remember, most stores
have only one Bock-- not twenty), and at 365 days
per year, a single Bock will produce $2,682.75. ($.49
x 15 x 365). At this rate, you'll pay for the machine
in two years. These are conservative figures.
What if I only have single phase
electricity?
No problem! We offer two different
models that can be wired for single phase. By the
way, Bock Engineered Products is the only manufacturer
of single phase centrifuges in the country.
Are centrifuges safe?
Yes!! Bock centrifuges are designed
with safety in mind. The lid is locked at the front
of the machine whenever the basket is spinning. A
programmable controller ensures that if for any reason
the safety system is inoperable, the machine will
not run.
How do I promote the Bock to
my customers?
The best way to promote it is
by offering your consumers free use for the first
week or two. During this time, you or your attendant
should educate the customer on how to use it, and
show how much water and suds are extracted after three
minutes of spinning. Put a bucket under the drain,
and let the customers see for themselves. A Bock will
extract about a gallon of water out of a full load!!
After they try it once, they'll come back again and
again.
Will the Bock set wrinkles in
my permanent press?
Permanent press items will
appear to be wrinkled after spinning in a Bock, but
these are not "set" wrinkles. Only heat
can set a wrinkle, and Bock centrifuges do not use
heat. After a few minutes in the dryer, the wrinkles
will disappear. Bock centrifuges are ideal for heavier
fabrics, such as cotton and terry.
