40 Years in Business!!!
HK Laundry Equipment Inc. of Armonk, New York celebrates their 40th year in business. HK is planning their 40th anniversary and celebration on Wednesday, April 18 in the Wellesley Inn in Armonk, NY. HK is proud and excited to be celebrating our 40 years in business with our new and existing customers. The 40th Anniversary and Sales Extravaganza will be a one day event (from 10am to 8pm) that features many manufactures representatives who will discuss their products and preventative maintenance. The manufactures will include Huebsch washers & dryers, Alliance Financing, Rowe & Standard bill changers, Hamilton Engineering water heating systems, Vendrite soap venders, and ESD and CCI card systems. The Sales Extravaganza will be a party to celebrate HK’s 40 years of business with gifts to be given away every hour. In addition many manufactures will be holding service schools and seminars on their products. Manufactures will also be available for one on one discussion.
HK is one of the few companies in America that has successfully made the transition from the 1st generation entrepreneur to the 2nd generation management. Reed Hinrichs partnered with Jim Kerr and started HK Sales in 1967. HK Sales started by building turn-key Laundromats with all front load washers throughout the Hudson River Valley area. Mr. Kerr retired in 19771 to run and operate his numerous Laundromats while Reed Hinrichs started selling to OPL customers including Nursing Homes, Country Clubs, Hotels and Motels. Reed also continued to build & equip more Laundromats in NY and Connecticut. In 1980 Reed’s son Karl Hinrichs came in to the business as a service technician and eventually increased his responsibilities to include building Laundromats and eventually into sales and management. Reed retired in 1996 to continue his passion of international travel and golf. Karl Hinrichs took responsibility for HK and changed the name to HK Laundry Equipment.
HK has pioneered several advances in the laundry industry including leasing laundry equipment to nursing homes with a full service contract back in the 1970’s. HK also created the first fully sort able e-commerce parts website that can sort by general parts category and by manufacture at www.HKParts.com. HKParts.com sells only 100% OEM quality parts at huge discounts. HK also has a 100+ page company website at www.HKLaundry.com which has a special section for novices to the industry titled “Laundromats 101” and a photo gallery with photos of Laundromats that HK has equipped. HK has also been the distributor of several Coin-Op Beautiful Contest winners and runner-ups and honorable mentioned.
HK is a Full Line Huebsch distributor selling washer and dryers through out the NY Hudson River Valley area and the entire state of Connecticut. HK has been a standard of Laundry Equipment distribution.
